Intern, Madrid (Contrato en prácticas)

Copenhagen Infrastructure Service Company (CISC) – a company working exclusively for the global fund management company Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) and owned by the funds managed by CIP, is currently looking for an Intern to join the team in Madrid, Spain for a 12-month internship. 

Note: Based on legal requirements, the internship must be directly relevant to the intern´s educational background. The intern is allowed to have maximum two years of previous internship experience at the time of starting the position. 

The Position 

Reporting to the management of the company and the project directors in Madrid, you will become part of an experienced team and contribute to the continued high performance of renewable energy infrastructure assets by delivering initiatives to mitigate risks and secure value. You will also assist in maturing development projects in different renewable technologies by progressing important workstreams, pursuing value levers, and working with internal and external experts for projects in Spain and Portugal. 

Your role will consist of: 

• Drafting and preparation of internal materials and reports of renewable projects across technologies including technical and financial data to stakeholders 
• Support in coordinating the development and construction of projects for CIP's portfolio in Spain and Portugal across all technologies such as wind, solar, green hydrogen, storage, and biogas 
• Performing energy market analysis 
• Support with planning and preparation of project maturity assessments 
• Collaboration with industrial partners and various advisors 
• Direct participation in the day-to-day management of projects and workstreams aiming at progressing the execution of the portfolio projects in Spain and Portugal  

The Candidate 

The ideal candidate has a university degree in Business Administration or a double degree in Engineering and Business studies or alike. We also look for the following in a candidate: 

• Solid experience with Excel and PowerPoint 
• Basic understanding of the Renewable Energy Industry 
• Interest in the development, construction, and operations of large-scale high-profile renewable energy infrastructures  
• Solid analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, and willingness to timely meet fluid and changing priorities 
• Capable of taking ownership of tasks and workstreams and performs well when trusted with responsibility
• Positive and forward-thinking mindset, teamwork skills, and cooperative capabilities in a highly dynamic environment  
• Close attention to detail and a high level of accuracy 
• Ability to maintain confidentiality 
• Fluent in Spanish and professional proficiency in English
