Senior Payroll Specialist, Global Finance

Copenhagen Infrastructure Service Company (CISC) - a service provider working exclusively for the global fund management company Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), is currently looking for a Senior Payroll Specialist to join our office in London. 

The role    

The Senior Payroll Specialist will ensure consistency, accuracy and compliance in our payroll processes and transactions. You will operate the end-to-end payroll processes in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and partners. You will also be involved in implementing our new global payroll solution, and be the subject matter expert to stakeholders, in projects and adhoc assignments across the organisations supporting the People and Finance teams in payroll-related reconciliations and analysis.

The role will be in London, working closely with our Payroll team based in Copenhagen.

Responsibilities will further consist of:    

  • Prepare, review, and quality-check the monthly payroll input from our HR system (Workday), manual input sources such as Excel sheets, and our shared payroll mailbox.  

  • Process payroll transactions including new hires, terminations, variable payments, employee changes, wage garnishments and benefits.  

  • Audit payroll data and reports for errors and resolve payroll issues. 

  • Review, analyze and improve the current payroll processes to leverage readiness for the global payroll structure.  

  • Partner with Global Payroll Manager to design, document and implement procedures to streamline the global payroll processes.   

  • Deliver on-demand payroll reports to HR and Finance teams.  

  • Assist with payroll projects, such as M&A integrations and system implementations.  

  • Reconcile payroll discrepancies with the accounting team.

The right candidate  
 

We are looking for you who have completed your master’s degree and have at least 4-5 years of full-time experience from a similar position. 

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in payroll within international companies and will be confident in collaborating with stakeholders at all internal and external levels. You will be skilled in managing transactional payroll and capable of seamlessly transitioning between manual and semi-automated processes.

Additionally, we look for candidates with a minimum of 5 years of payroll processing experience. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills are essential. Experience in global payroll is crucial, with a preference for APAC payroll experience, as well as experience in managing global stakeholders. The ability to work independently and be resourceful is also important.
