Senior Financial Controller

Copenhagen Infrastructure Service Company (CISC) – a company working exclusively for the global fund management company Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), is currently looking for a Senior Financial Controller to join us in Madrid, Spain.

The role

Your main responsibility will be daily accounting and controlling activities as well as performing monthly, quarterly and year-end closing for assigned areas of responsibility in accordance with the agreed closing procedures and deadlines. You will facilitate the audit, review and compiling processes, develop our finance setup and be closely engaged in the various workstreams around the asset - a role which will allow you to put your drive, excellent analytical skills and solid stakeholder skills into play.

Responsibilities will further consist of:

  • Own audit, review and compiling planning, fieldwork (testing and documentation), and reporting
  • Perform audit procedures and compliance testing
  • Monthly VAT returns
  • Performing accounting and controlling activities for assigned areas monthly, quarterly and year-end
  • Financial reconciliation of accounts
  • Collaboration with external auditors
  • Prepare workpapers and reconciliations on audit, review, and compilation engagements
  • Prepare accounting records, detailed audit documentation, memos, reports required by these engagements
  • Develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with local project team as well as internal (CISC / CIP) and external stakeholders and contribute to preparation of executive presentations

The right candidate

Ideally, you have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, auditing or alike with 3-5 years of experience at a large consultancy/audit advisory.
