Finance Manager

Copenhagen Infrastructure Service Company (CISC) – a company working exclusively for the global fund management company Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), is currently looking for a Finance Manager to join the team in India.

 CIP’s Growth Strategy: The company is focusing on considerable expansion efforts worldwide and within the Asia Pacific area in the upcoming years. By 2030, CIP expects to manage EUR 100bn, positioning it as one of the largest renewable infrastructure funds worldwide. CIP’s Growth Markets Fund has identified India as a primary target market, with several potential onshore wind, solar, and hybrid projects in development. As a direct report to the Finance Director in India, you will become part of an evolving team responsible for advancing the financial infrastructure at CISC India, which spans a variety of renewable energy technologies. You will work closely with CISC Global, CISC APAC counterparts, and CIP Deal & Investment Management Teams to support the finance and accounting needs of CISC India and its portfolio of entities for various renewable energy projects in the region. Your daily tasks will involve collaborating with finance professionals and outsourced vendors within the countries to ensure compliance with reporting requirements and adherence to policies.

Responsibilities will further consist of but not be limited to:

  • Provide leadership and establish best-in-class finance processes in CISC India to support growth.
  • Build an efficient finance setup through process improvement and standardization.
  • Manage budgeting, reporting, controlling, and accounting (both internal and external).
  • Oversee service agreements, cost allocation, and invoicing.
  • Coordinate with third-party agencies in charge of finance, accounting, and administrative outputs, encompassing PTP, CTR, tax adherence, Company Secretary responsibilities, and additional financial activities.
  • Oversee monetary transactions and the oversight of funds, which encompasses predictions and diligent cash flow control.
  • Collaborate with the HQ/APAC team to support India’s budgeting and reforecasting workstream.
  • Ensure tax compliance for Indian entities.
  • Work with Tax and Legal teams in DK on project structuring/restructuring and address any tax issues that may arise.
  • Oversee service providers to facilitate accurate compliance reporting for obligations like tax and regulatory filings.
  • Oversee internal management reporting obligations for CISC and entities, including quarterly consolidation reports, business review updates, PLM reports, etc.
  • Manage and monitor budgeting, reporting, controlling, and accounting (both internal and external) for Indian projects.
  • Work with the CFO Transformation Team in DK and the local finance team to ensure the successful rollout of the new ERP system in APAC.
  • Handle other ad-hoc projects as they arise.

We look for the following in a candidate

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics, business, or other relevant fields is required. A CPA qualification is considered advantageous.
  • 6 – 8 years of experience in audit, financial controlling, or consultancy in the renewables, utilities, or infrastructure space.
  • Project-related experience is desirable.
  • Motivated by building best practices, solving complex issues, and growing the finance function.
  • Skilled in organizing tasks effectively and handling tight timelines.
  • Adept at coordinating and maintaining positive relationships with all involved parties.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data and inputs and communicate effectively with stakeholders
