Senior Associate, Contracts and Business Strategy
Copenhagen Infrastructure Service Company (CISC) - a service provider working exclusively for the global fund management company Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), is currently looking for a Senior Associate, Contracts and Business Strategy Analyst to join our office in Mumbai, India.
The role
Reporting to the Head of Sourcing and Contracts in India, you will join a dynamic and expanding team, where you will lead and enhance our contracts and sourcing framework for CISC India across various renewable energy technologies. You will collaborate closely with CISC Global, CISC APAC counterparts, and CIP Deal & Investment Management Teams to meet the sourcing and contracting requirements of CISC India and its portfolio of entities for diverse renewable energy projects in the region. In your daily activities, you will work in tandem with the business development team, legal team, finance team, project team, and external vendors to support the establishment of a robust sourcing and contracts process.
Responsibilities will further consist of:
General:
- Take ownership and collaborate with stakeholders to develop robust sourcing and contracting processes.
- Support the creation of an efficient sourcing and contracting setup based on past learnings, process improvements, and group-level guidance.
Sourcing and Contracting Management:
- Handle all work streams related to sourcing and contracting, including NDAs, equipment supply agreements, partnership agreements, service agreements, vendor agreements, management presentations, and business intelligence.
- Develop the sourcing and contracting process at CISC in line with CIP global guidelines.
- Manage external service providers and vendors for sourcing and contracting tasks.
- Incorporate learnings from existing contracts, ongoing projects, and global best practices into the current sourcing and contracting process.
- Maintain the assumption book for all projects in India.
Reporting:
- Manage internal reporting obligations, including progress reports, contract approval documentation, business review updates, management presentations, and business intelligence.
Documentation:
- Organize and maintain comprehensive documentation for the sourcing and contracts function, ensuring accessibility and up-to-date records.
Ad-hoc Projects:
- Handle additional projects as they arise.

You
- 4-5 years overall experience, including 2-3 years post-MBA, in contract communication, contract management, project management, business intelligence, or consultancy within the renewables, utilities, or infrastructure sectors (required).
- At least bachelor’s degree in engineering and master’s in management/ business from a reputed college/university in India.
- Legal knowledge/qualification would be an added advantage.

- Project Experience: Project-related experience is desirable.
- Motivation: Driven to establish best practices, solve complex issues, and enhance the sourcing and contracting function.
- Prioritization: High ability to prioritize tasks and manage tight deadlines.
- Teamwork: Excellent stakeholder management skills and a team player.
