Associate, Project Finance
Copenhagen Infrastructure Service Company (CISC) – a company working exclusively for the global fund management company Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), is currently looking for an Associate, Project Finance to join the Finance team in Melbourne, Australia.
The Role
As a Project Accountant, you will be a key member of our finance team, focusing on the financial management of renewable energy projects. You will collaborate with project managers and finance professionals to ensure accurate financial reporting, budget tracking, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities will further consist of:
- Assist in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting on renewable energy projects
- Monitor project costs, track actuals against budgets, and report on project financial performance
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate project accounting and cost allocation
- Prepare monthly financial reports of financial performance to stakeholders
- Support in preparing financial forecasts and cash flow projections for assigned projects
- Assist compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and regulatory requirements
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and support audits as needed
- Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making on project investments and resource allocation
- Assist compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function
- Preparation of business and finance presentation slides

You
- minimum of 2-3 years experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Previous experience in finance, accounting, or financial analysis is preferred
We look for the following in a candidate
- Experience in project-related roles is essential to ensure effective collaboration with project managers and accurate financial management of renewable energy projects.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial analysis techniques.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (SAP).
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Interest in renewable energy and sustainability initiatives is a plus.
- Willingness to commence or studying towards CA or CPA qualifications
