Vice President, Projects
Copenhagen Infrastructure Service Company (CISC) - a service provider working exclusively for the global fund management company Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), is currently looking for a Vice President, Projects to join our office in Mumbai, India.
The role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Vice President of Projects to lead the execution, and management of renewable energy (Wind /Solar /BESS /Hydrogen) projects across India. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the renewable energy sector, particularly in solar, wind, and other green technologies. This role requires strategic thinking, technical expertise, and proven leadership to drive projects from inception to successful operation.
Responsibilities will further consist of:
- Lead and deliver renewable energy projects (solar, wind, etc.) on time and within budget, overseeing the entire project lifecycle from feasibility, design, permitting, construction, to commissioning, while ensuring safety protocols and legal compliance.
- Build and manage a high-performing team, support and collaborate with outsourced Construction Management Agencies, and lead discussions with EPC, suppliers, and contractors.
- Develop strategies for project development and risk management, aligning projects with business goals and sustainability objectives.
- Communicate with government authorities, contractors, and clients; negotiate contracts and manage investor relationships; prepare RFQs and negotiate with suppliers.
- Manage project budgets and financial performance, track budget vs. actuals, and ensure cost optimization.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and safety standards, and identify and mitigate project risks.

You
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil) or a related field; an MBA or Master’s in Renewable Energy Management is advantageous.
- Over 15 years of project management experience in the renewable energy sector, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
