Legal Counsel, Corporate Legal

Copenhagen Infrastructure Service Company (CISC) - a service provider working exclusively for the global fund management company Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), is currently looking for an associate/senior associate (legal counsel) to join our legal team in Copenhagen, Denmark. 

 

The role

As a member of our Corporate Legal team, you will work closely together with a legal team consisting of more than 10 dedicated and highly qualified colleagues. You will become part of an agile and dynamic team, supporting the business through direct interface with some of the most skilled and specialized persons within the green energy sector, some of the world’s largest institutional investors and global top tier advisors.

Your main responsibility will be to provide legal support to CIP and CISC on a defined number of tasks. It is expected that you will work independently and take ownership of these tasks with the necessary support from the rest of the team.

You will gain deep commercial insight in one of the fastest-growing and best-in-class investment fund management companies globally and become a key player in the high-profiled development of CISC/CIP’s exciting and fast-paced growth journey.

 

Key responsibilities will consist of:

  • Entity establishment, changes to entities and entity wind-up globally and liaising with local legal advisors.
  • Assistance and advice relating general corporate “housekeeping” within CIP/CISC.
  • Preparation and assistance with various tasks as part of the annual audit procedures.
  • Handling KYC/AML tasks involving existing and new entities for service providers, banks, JV partners and similar.
  • General corporate advice, including preparation, reviewing, negotiation, and advising on a number of legal documents, such as NDAs and PoAs.
  • Other ad hoc tasks.

You

In order to succeed in the role, we expect you to have a solid understanding of corporate law backed up by a relevant Master’s degree (e.g. Master of Laws or MSc in Business Administration and Commercial law), with 0-3 years of relevant professional experience for Associates and 3-6 years for Senior Associates from a legal role in a private equity firm or as part of an inhouse corporate legal function in an international corporation.

  • Strong process management skills with attention to details.
  • Team player with good interpersonal and collaborative skills.
  • Ability to work independently and navigate and thrive in a fast-paced and high-performance environment.
  • Solution-orientated approach and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in English both verbally and in writing; fluency in Danish is an advantage but not a requirement.
