Financial Reporting Specialist, Finance

 

Copenhagen Infrastructure Service Company (CISC) - a service provider working exclusively for the global fund management company Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), is currently looking for a Financial Reporting Specialist to join our office in Luxembourg.

 

The role

As our new Financial Reporting Specialist in our Finance team, you’ll be part of a team of 5 experienced professionals. The team is responsible for financial reporting and handling investor requirements and queries regarding the economic reports and data, and your role will be to contribute to the overall financial reporting processes.

More specifically, you will be responsible for developing our quarterly and annual financial reports and responding to investor questions/requests. This includes working closely with service providers to prepare and review financial reports/statements and collaborating with Financial Controllers to understand and interpret the financial information in the reports.

 

Responsibilities will further consist of:

  • Proactively seeking guidance from the Financial Reporting team in HQ to ensure high-quality formatting and sufficiency of financial information in the financial statements and investor reports.
  • Providing quick turnaround in updating financial reports during the review process and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality financial reports.
  • Ensuring that skeleton drafts are prepared, reviewed, and agreed upon with key stakeholders well in advance.
  • Monitoring and ensuring compliance with all reporting milestones and deliverables of all Fund entities.
  • Staying updated on regulatory requirements applicable to the contents and disclosures in the financial statements under IFRS and quarterly investor reporting.
  • Building good relationships with key stakeholders (local service providers and key employees from the HQ Finance department).

You

To be successful in this role, you should possess a finance degree from a recognized institution and have a minimum of 4-5 years of full-time experience in Luxembourg's financial or fund administration industry. A solid understanding of financial reporting is essential, including preparing and reviewing financial statements in IFRS and ILPA reporting. Proficiency in creating financial charts, tables, and graphs using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is also required. Attention to detail is crucial, as the role involves handling financial and non-financial content in financial reports.

In addition to these qualifications, the ideal candidate will have:

  • Familiarity with LUXGAAP and other GAAP as a valued asset.
  • Knowledge of common financial reporting requirements in private equity and infrastructure funds and an understanding of Luxembourg regulations.
  • Experience in data analysis and reporting efficiency projects is a valuable skill.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to excel in stakeholder engagement, demonstrating a sense of ownership in their work.
  • Comprehensive written and oral communication skills in English.
